creepy crawling centipede and taking shower D:

So far, this is one of the creepiest that ever happened to me.
It was all because of a multitasking shit (singing + taking shower!).
I was too busy to notice, until i felt something crawling on my left leg!
And when I took notice, I saw a BIG centipede like this.

I jerked, (I usually 'blow' a creature OFF my skin when I try to remove them,
but THIS IS TOO BIG TO BE BLOWN OFF. GAHD....
I KICKED HARD and good heavens! It's didn't cling onto my skin.
The feeling of its hundred legs on my skin IS LIKE NO OTHER.

But I felt sad when my mom, spilt hot water on the creature.

I thank you for not biting me. D:

Audioblogging ;p

It has been a while since I took and played my guitar. This is what I have been playing lately, Athlete's Half Light. Although, I didn't record the full song ;p!
*Even if the chords are easy to show everyone that im not self-obsessed :))

Yeah, been audio blogging since my Percussion Freaky post. haha. I admit i'm enjoying doing this to bits. hahaha. As one of my friends says, bumalik na daw ako sa Church choir. But I don't know, maybe I'll go back singing. haha.

Come June, I see less and less time for music playing. :/
I'll be busier though I've always been juggling working and studying together.
I hope I'll still find time to do things I love doing...

"So when I'll see you next,
we'll make the most of it,
Tell the stars to start moving again..."

Percussion freaky

Sorry may part na sablay! haha :))

I just tried singing while doing the percussion for the FIRST TIME!!! XD
Actually, im more comfortable (and confident ;P) in singing with guitar accompaniment than any other instrument.
I felt reluctant while singing actually. But I tried.

Anyway, I love this song. I even think this can be a good song to sing in my wedding in the future. For my groom. LOL.
The song is simple and straight forward.

I didn't finish the song though :P
I cannot wait to finish singing the song. hahahah

ANG HIRAP PALA ;_;

LYRICS;

"The Way I Am"

If you were falling, then I would catch you.
You need a light, I'd find a match.

Cause I love the way you say good morning.
And you take me the way I am.

If you are chilly, here take my sweater.
Your head is aching, I'll make it better.

Cause I love the way you call me baby.
And you take me the way I am.

To summer!

They started to bloom! :)
This post is an ode to beauty! To summer! to the blossoms!
...and to my toil and patience ;p

To Summer
~William Blake

O thou who passest thro' our valleys in
Thy strength, curb thy fierce steeds, allay the heat
That flames from their large nostrils! thou,
O Summer,
Oft pitched'st here thy goldent tent, and oft
Beneath our oaks hast slept, while we beheld

With joy thy ruddy limbs and flourishing hair.

Beneath our thickest shades we oft have heard

Thy voice, when noon upon his fervid car

Rode o'er the deep of heaven; beside our springs

Sit down, and in our mossy valleys, on

Some bank beside a river clear, throw thy

Silk draperies off, and rush into the stream:

Our valleys love the Summer in his pride.

Our bards are fam'd who strike the silver wire:

Our youth are bolder than the southern swains:

Our maidens fairer in the sprightly dance:

We lack not songs, nor instruments of joy,
Nor echoes sweet, nor waters clear as heaven,

Nor laurel wreaths against the sultry heat.

(--> some photos of our blooming garden plants)

After one week, here's the progress!

This is Sweet William /Dianthus barbatus.

Here's another bloom of a flowering plant;

This one is Sampaguita

Hmmm...These are "surprises", since i don't know them ;p

Have you seen a Papaya? Here's one growing ;D

Down is of San Francisco. It blooms only twice a year.

Clover!!!!!!!

Here are some visitors spotted in our garden:

A butterfly with withered wings, I saw this one afternoon.

Our naughty cat who loves POT.

..and a stray cat.
Looks like it has just finished a military service.

GREEN DAY

It has been my long time plan to visit Manila Seedling.
I always pass by it on my way to UP before.

So one fine sunday, I asked my mom to accompany me there. Fortunately, they are open on sundays. I was able to take home 6 plants and two cacti and one sack of soil (which I carried myself!).

Believe it or not, I enjoy gardening. I love plants and flowers. At home, we already have a bunch of plants but I want to get more variety. Actually, I aspire on having a business that sells plants, rocks and other garden supplies someday.

Anyway here's my plant list:
1. Parsley
2.Celery
3. Sampaguita
4. Flowering 1
5. Flowering 2
6. Flowering plant 3
7. Barrel Cactus
8. Aeonium pinwheel cactus

I bought for my mom parsley and celery so that spices would only be a pick away.
My mom insisted to buy sampaguita too. It smells good! I couldn't resist the cuteness of cactus so I bought two for only P25.00 each.

Finally, I was able to find a good loam soil. I need soil because I will be reproducing asexually one of our plants called "Angel's Breath". (One of my fave since it blooms the whole year, NON-STOP) I got the soil for P100.00 (haggled from P120.00)

If my mom weren't there, I could have splurged my money. I'm so happy to take them home :D

White Water Rafting Experience

" Blessed are those who fall off the raft for theirs is adventure"
"Blessed are those who are pushed off the raft for theirs is thrill!"

Started the year with an awesome adventure in Cagayan De Oro, the City of Golden Friendship. I have long planned to have this adventure trip and im happy that my UPAK (University of the Philippines Association of Karate) teammates, like me are seeking for adventures.

It was my first time to do rafting and take note, I don't know how to swim! :D
But I braved the waters for this adventure. I trust that I'm not going to die during a vacay stint.

First, we boarded on a jeepney to get to the venue where the rafts are. We were also given direction and safety precautions on that place.

me and April, sleepless but very much excited!

me and Hei

my face with sunblock. NO. sunblock with a face

We arrived to the location and wore our gears :)
OH YEAH...

...
...

We had a placid ride ...that is, before the RAPIDS!
We were still dry under the sun. Dry spirits too.
Then we were forewarned; There are 20++ rapids all in all!
At the sight of the first rapid, my pulse raced. I was too excited to ride the wave.
I cannot describe the feeling, but I remember clutching my foot to the feet brace on the raft for safety. I had mixed feeling actually.

"I'll ride the wave, where it takes me" from Peal Jam's 'Release' rang on my head :)

In our first fall, I drank little water. I felt the current and it was strong!
But Im glad all of us fell off the raft. FAIR. > :D

We came across MORE rapids and one time, I was the only one thrown off the raft!
I actually thought all of us fell! I panicked under water because I was stuck under the raft and the rock. I don't know how to swim very well. But just in time when i'm about to lose air, I was able to climb up. I was SOOOO terrified. I could have died. And when I saw friends, they were laughing! haha. But they said, they worried about me because it took a long time for me to surface on the water.

We had several great experiences on the raft. Thanks to our guide! Kuya said that he
was wrong to think of our group as mild riders. He said we were meant for EXTREME!

So we tried so many ways to ride a raft. Rotating, standing up, etc!
One time we were all singing "Terrfied" while rowing standing up on the waves,
FRONT ROW! XD

This is indeed one of the most memorable adventure I ever had.
I would surely do it again sometime :)
